Down at the D-Barn

Another hotter than hot wedding day in Colorado for the union of April and Jeff in Longmont, but as long as it's not raining, I really can't complain! I'm a big fan of glam backed by grit, so after the ceremony at April's family church (her parent's were married there as well), the whole wedding party ventured into down town Longmont for some fun group shots. The reception was held at the charming D-Barn on Main Street; a nearly 100 year old piece of Colorado history that escaped the bulldozer in the mid-90s and was turned into a rustic event venue not long after. You can't beat the sound of a hundred plus celebrators stomping around a century's old dance floor!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Evans!!

Red, Black and HOT All Over...

I love people! "Newbies" who I look forward to getting to know to the point that they become "Oldbies." "Oldbies" who have become some of my nearest and dearest. And those who I thought may have been lost, but thanks to Facebook I have reconnected with. I am happy to say that Jenna is one of the middle category; she and I have been friends through all of life's adventures since the second grade and though I love photographing all people, the nearest and dearest are just so much fun! We all know each other far too well for there to be any awkwardness, so there is never that initial warm up part of the session.

I'm lucky enough to have been asked to be in Jenna and Eric's wedding, so I won't be photographing their special day, but I was just as flattered when I was asked to do the pictures for their engagement. But the thing about being a professional photographer is that I at times just can't help myself! So don't be surprised if there are an image or two of their wedding day posted on here come late October...

Congratulations to two of my favorite people and one of my favorite couples!!
